“My art travels between two paths; one more realistic and the other more abstract and soul based. I usually begin by observing and reviewing a photo of a place, person, building, sky or a landscape. The photo acts as a tool to isolate whatever interests me, and in the process, the ordinary will reveal something extraordinary about its place in my world. These images provide the “bones” of my work. I absorb the feeling of the image and what develops on the canvas is the feeling on adrenaline! The moment, the feeling and the colors are punched up. My paintings capture the essence of that moment; a feeling; a future.”   ~ Staement from Michael Tolleson

"I graduated from Illinois State University in 1998 with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Art... and sadly put down the brush for the following 10 years.  But I am back to the canvas now! I hope my paintings are able to convey a mood, capture a moment, or build an environment that the viewer can relate to. I have plenty more work but have yet to digitize them. Hope you enjoy!!!"  ~Statement from Sean Koziel

"I am a beginner in the Art industry. I like to paint abstract, landscape and specialize in ancient iconography.  The landscape is the best way to underline the beauty of the nature we were fortunate to inherit.  The medium I use is mostly acrylic. I found that acrylic brightens the painting more than any other medium.  I am seeking the way to impress myself hoping to enlighten somebody else’s world as well."  ~Statement from Anahit Burke

"I never plan my canvases; which is the complete opposite of my life.  I intuitively know days before I begin what size canvas I will be using.  I never know what the canvas will look like, once completed.  However; I do know what feeling it will omit.  Once I begin painting, the first couple of color choices are again instinctual.  After the design because evident, I then begin to methodically choose colors.  This is so I can build a balanced, visually pleasing painting.  My paintings are about color first, design second.  Color is the vehicle used in order to deliver the intended message".  ~ Statement from Sharon Hawkshawe
